Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where do coaching and consulting sessions take place?
A: While I am a Minneapolis career coach and consultant and love working with clients in the area, my services are offered with a remote-first mindset. Coaching and consultation sessions primarily take place over Zoom, Microsoft Teams or phone. In-person sessions are available, as needed. At the start of our work together, we’ll discuss what works best for you.
Q: What qualifies you to offer career transition coaching?
A: Good question! Many people using the title of coach and it’s important to understand what their qualifications are. First, I have personally been through two significant career transitions. I understand what it’s like and have firsthand experience on how to successfully navigate the journey. Second, my coaching is informed by the credentials I’ve earned from both Gallup and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which includes adhering to a strict code of ethics in my practice. For more on my approach, please visit the About page.
Q: What types of organizations do you consult with?
A: I primarily consult with micro- or small-businesses that are experiencing sustained growth and are ready to invest in the people-side of their organization, with an emphasis on organizational culture, leadership development and team development. I use a strengths-based approach to focus on what is working well that can be maximized.
Additionally, I work with teams within medium- and large organizations that aim to foster organizational culture change, create space for dialogue on big topics, and maximize the team’s collective impact.
Organizations I have worked with span across local government, manufacturing, finance, healthcare, tech and more.
Q: How will we know if our work together is successful?
A: This is important! Both career transition coaching and leadership coaching are goal-oriented processes. At the start of our work, we will work together to solidify your goal and definition of success. It is my role as the coach to keep you on track to move towards that goal. Similarly, in consulting, we will explore your goals and challenges together to agree on a definition of success. For all consulting projects, a detailed timeline and proposal are developed at the beginning and updated throughout.
